Dr. Lindsay Zanghi, PT, DPT
BOARD-CERTIFIED SPECIALIST IN NEUROLOGIC PHYSICAL THERAPY
Welcome! I am Lindsay Zanghi, owner and founder of Empower Physical Therapy. Empower Physical Therapy was founded as a way for me to share my deep passion for neurologic rehabilitation with my clients and to serve the patients in our community who need better access to comprehensive care and services.
Although I am a native of Western New York, I attended Elon University in North Carolina and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sport Science. I returned home to the Rochester area where I earned by Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Nazareth College. I have been practicing PT for over 10 years and have a vast experience working with all different types of patients with neurologic disorders in a variety of settings, including acute rehab, home health and adjunct teaching at Nazareth College on campus neuromuscular and multiple sclerosis clinics. My advanced training and experience have helped me become a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS).
When I’m not helping my patients, I love spending time with my husband and two children, exercising and running (yes, for fun!), and trying new recipes in the kitchen. I’m thrilled you’re here and look forward to hearing from you!
Dr. Madison Anderson, PT, DPT
BOARD-CERTIFIED SPECIALIST IN NEUROLOGIC PHYSICAL THERAPY
Hi everyone! My name is Madison Anderson and I work alongside Dr. Zanghi at Empower teaching our wellness classes as well as treating one-on-one clients. I am originally from the greater Rochester/Finger Lakes area and graduated from Ithaca College with my Bachelor’s in Clinical Health Studies followed by my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. I have several years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in a variety of settings including acute care, inpatient rehab, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient. I have also had the privilege of being an adjunct faculty member at Ithaca College in their Neuromuscular Foundations and Acute Care coursework as well as acting as a mentor to graduate PT students in the clinical setting.
I initially became passionate about serving the neurological population after having several personal experiences with people living with chronic conditions, including working as a caregiver during PT school for someone with an advanced neurological diagnosis. This drive to serve the neurologic population along with my rich background has allowed me to become a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist.
In my spare time, I enjoy riding horses (both for fun and competitively), running, traveling, and hanging out with my husband and our 6-year old shepherd / collie mix, Chewie.
